Enjoy the best of Svalbard, a world of endless daylight, where polar bear sightings quicken your pulse, guillemot cries echo from sea cliffs and beluga whales rise from the sea. Explore tundra adorned with wildflowers and historic camps of explorers and hunters. Push through pack ice to find walrus and bearded seals. Our schedule is flexible and we make the most of spontaneous opportunities.

DAY 1 Enjoy a guided group tour of colourful Longyearbyen, the capital of Svalbard. Late afternoon sees us warmly welcomed on board the Greg Mortimer.

DAYS 2–3 On Spitsbergen's rugged western coast, Zodiac cruise along 14th July or Waggonway Glacier in Magdalenefjörden, photograph reindeer and wildflowers and visit historic whaling settlements and explorer camps.

DAYS 4–6 Enter pack ice along Spitsbergen's northwest coast where polar bears stalk seals, walrus haulout on Moffen Island. We visit trappers' huts and discover the tundra's exquisite microflora, and attempt to cross 80° North.

DAYS 7–8 We attempt to navigate Hinlopen Strait, Zodiac cruise beneath raucous guillemot cliffs at Alkefjellet, perhaps land on Barentsøya and Edgeøya islands. Spot eider ducks and Arctic fox.

DAYS 9–10 Explore deep fjords of Hornsund and Bellsund, with
stunning glaciers, bird cliffs, Arctic fox, Norwegian reindeer and walrus.

DAY 11 A cruise along glorious Isfjorden returns us to Longyearbyen, where we transfer to flights home or new adventures.
