After boarding your ship in Southampton your incredible voyage begins with a glide across the Atlantic, stopping at Lisbon – the picturesque Portuguese capital – and the floral island of Madeira en route the Americas, where several stunning destinations await you. In the Caribbean you’ll have chances to discover the golden beaches, historic sites and natural wonders of Antigua, Dominica, Barbados and Bonaire; then in Colombia, enjoy a rewarding day of exploration in the walled city of Cartagena de Indias, renowned for its engrossing Hispanic history. You will also experience a memorable journey through the locks, dams and Panamanian jungle situated along the impressive Panama Canal, dubbed the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’, before calling into two captivating Costa Rican ports of call. Puntarenas and Puerto Caldera are both perfectly placed for tours to lush nature reserves and rainforests.

Another epic ocean crossing follows your South and Central American adventures. As you head across the Pacific towards Australia, Black Watch will stop at spectacular South Pacific islands to present you with an authentic taste of paradise. You can go ashore at Nuku Hiva to explore the island’s unspoilt volcanic landscapes; encounter astonishing fauna such as dolphins and colourful tropical fish within the crystal-clear lagoons of Rangiora; and discover postcard-perfect beaches, mountains and waterfalls on the idyllic islands of Tahiti and Bora-Bora. You’ll even spend Christmas Eve on the glorious ‘island where time begins’, Tonga; and uncover the breathtaking beauty of uninhabited Mystery Island after enjoying Christmas Day at sea. Finally, in Australia, a magical culmination of your cruise awaits. During a two night stay in Sydney you can experience the excitement of the city’s iconic New Year’s celebrations. Perhaps take the day to see world-famous landmarks including the instantly recognisable Opera House, before watching fantastic fireworks signal the arrival of 2019 high above the iconic Harbour Bridge at midnight. After all the fun and festivity, you’ll have time to enjoy some rest and relaxation on Bondi Beach too before sailing onwards to Newcastle and Brisbane.

Panama Canal
A journey through the incredible Panama Canal provides one of cruising's most unforgettable experiences. One of the world's greatest engineering feats, the canal stretches over 48 miles and takes 8 hours to travel, giving you plenty of time to admire this remarkable man-made wonder and the beautiful natural surroundings.

Papeete, Tahiti
French Polynesia is comprised of over 100 islands and atolls, with Tahiti possibly being the most famous thanks to its soaring peaks, lush valleys,cascading waterfalls and stunning vistas. The bustling city of Papeete is home to the world’s only Pearl Museum and an array of natural treasures including the Faarumai Waterfalls and spring garden of Vaipahi.

Mystery Island, Vanuatu
The origins and history of this beautiful uninhabited island are - as the name would suggest - a mystery. Completely unspoilt, this incredible tropical paradise is barely a kilometre long and just 200 metres wide with stretches of glorious golden beaches, windswept palm trees and a coral reef abundant with thousands of fish, in a deep blue, calm sea.
