Cruise Description

4 Night Cruise sailing from Athens roundtrip aboard Celestyal Olympia.

Our Iconic Cruises are like a master class in the Aegean. We take you to the classics, to ancient cities and legendary harbors that have been adored by travellers for years. The Hellenic Mediterranean, vivid and unforgettable, is our home. Let us show it to you.

Day 1 Athens / Mykonos
The bustling port of Piraeus, made famous by classic films like Never On Sunday and Stella, is a brief Metro or taxi ride from Athens. This vibrant, cosmopolitan, historically rich city is dense with ancient monuments, chic cafés and unique shops.

Mykonos is a delightful island renowned for its lovely countryside and its beaches, its iconic windmills and sea breezes.

Day 2 Kusadasi OR Samos / Patmos
Passengers can now choose to visit either Samos or Kusadasi, Turkey, whilst being on the same cruise. Passengers on all Iconic cruises can therefore decide the day before they sail if they wish to sail one of two itineraries:

Original: Piraeus-Mykonos-Kusadasi-Patmos-Rhodes-Heraklion/Crete-Santorini
Samos Option: Piraeus-Mykonos-Samos-Patmos-Rhodes-Heraklion/Crete-Santorini

Kusadasi
The area has been a center of art and culture since some of the earliest recorded history, and has been settled by many civilizations since being founded in 3000 BC. Kusadasi is currently one of the finest is resort town on the Aegean coast.

Samos
Samos offers many delights, including the opportunity to stroll through the main square of Vathi to visit the Church of St. Spyridona and the lovely town hall. The island is also home to a wonderful wine museum where visitors are introduced to artistry and tradition of local wine production. We will also offer passengers the chance to tour the picturesque seaside village of Kokkari, home to a cheerful maze of alleyways, a small, homey port and some of the Aegean’s most envied beaches. There will also be time to ramble about Pythagoreion before we return to the ship at 14:30 to enjoy a buffet lunch and set sail for Patmos.

Patmos
Many believe John the Apostle wrote the Book of Revelations in a mountainside grotto where he heard the voice of God. Further up the mountain, within the white walls of Hora, the monastery founded in his honor in 1088 stands sentinel above this verdant island.

Day 3 Rhodes
You will have a full day to explore yet another incomparable island.

Day 4 Heraklion / Santorini
Heraklion is an ancient Venetian port and the fascinating capital of Crete. Greece’s largest island is a paradise of secluded beaches, hiking trails, rivers and archaeological marvels.

Santorini - Its incredible cliffs rise from the blue waters of the Aegean toward the azure sky. Wander around this beautiful island ot take a mini cruise or a cruise to Santorini’s smaller islands and volcanoes. Explore the Akrotiri Village excavations, wander about the beautiful hilltop village of Fira, the island’s unique capital, or just relax in a café in stunning Oia Village, and watch the sunset from 300 meters above the sparkling sea. Enjoy a glass of wine with a view from the sky…
