Cruise Description

16 Night Cruise sailing from Dover roundtrip aboard Boudicca.

Join Boudicca on a very special cruise to the sun-kissed shores of the Côte d'Azur and experience the renowned glamour, style and sophistication of this spectacular part of the world with chances to soak-up the unique atmosphere of two world-famous events.

Before spending two unforgettable days on the fabulous French Riviera you’ll sail to Spain to discover a wealth of impressive sights in three beautiful ports. The attractive historic city of Cádiz is a delight to explore, with its wonderful Old Quarter and striking golden-domed Cathedral. It’s also the starting point for tours to stunning Seville, where you can visit the Plaza de España and marvel at neo-Moorish and Renaissance-style architectural wonders you may recognise from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Lawrence of Arabia. Then it’s on to the sunny Costa del Azahar to see the ancient castle and fortress of distinctive Peñiscola – the ‘City in the Sea’ – before Boudicca stops in the Catalan city of Palamós. Situated on the gorgeous Costa Brava, you’ll find an abundance of glorious white-sand beaches and secluded rocky coves here, perfect for relaxing and making the most of the Spanish sunshine.

An extended call into Monaco will then ensure a memorable start to your two days on the stunning Côte d'Azur. Perhaps use your time to take in the high-end stores; see the vast collection of multi-million dollar yachts at the iconic marina; or even visit the Top Car Museum where the Prince of Monaco houses his fleet of classic cars. Motor racing enthusiasts won’t want to miss the chance to attend the Monaco Historic Grand Prix and watch timeless racing cars from various eras speed through the streets and tunnels. Another glamourous destination and world-renowned event awaits you next, sailing onwards to Cannes. Your call is timed to coincide with the annual International Film Festival, so you’ll be sharing the sunshine with the stars. You could wander the glitzy La Croisette promenade; admire the grand art-deco palaces; indulge in a spot of retail therapy; or even look out for the stars on the famous red steps of Festival Palace. From the French Riviera its back to Spain for the chance to tour to ‘Oasys Mini Hollywood’ – the setting for many spaghetti westerns – from Almería; before concluding your cruise with a call into Leixoes, for tour to the Portuguese city of Oporto.
