Glide away from Mandalay in peerless style and embark on a unique adventure to discover Myanmar’s enchanting heritage. Connect with rural communities and explore little-known treasures on this seven-day luxury cruise.

Day 1 Mandalay
Check-in at Bistro 82 in Mandalay’s bustling centre. Lunch here is a sensation for the tastebuds, brimming with local flavours and traditional dishes.

There are two tour options for the afternoon. Delve into the artisanal heart of the city with a visit to the marble quarter and a bronze casting workshop, before admiring the breathtaking beauty of U Bein Bridge. Retreat to the Sagaing Hills and visit a hilltop nunnery before transferring to Myin Mu to meet the ship. Alternatively, head to Mandalay’s Htin-Win Jetty with your guide for an afternoon aboard a chartered riverboat. Savour champagne and refreshments as you cruise to meet Belmond Road to Mandalay at Myin Mu.

Once on board, enjoy a sumptuous dinner in the elegant restaurant.

Day 2 Myin Mu
Start the day with a refreshing smoothie from the Healthy Juice Bar before breakfast in the restaurant.

Join our guides this morning for a visit to the village monastery and take part in a traditional almsgiving ceremony, then board trishaws for a tour of the town. Myin Mu boasts a vibrant local market, peppered with tea shops and traditional treasures.

Back on board, enjoy an array of onboard activities including a community presentation from Dr Tun and a thanaka and longyi-tying demonstration. Alternatively, indulge in a spa treatment, or relax by the pool as we sail past the terracotta pots at Yandabo.

We invite you to a longyi cocktail party this evening followed by dinner in the restaurant. A spectacular surprise on the river sparks a magical end to the evening.

Day 3 Bagan
Opt to begin the day with a sunrise yoga session on the Observation Deck. Savour breakfast as we sail into Bagan.

Choose from three morning tours of Bagan. Explore the ancient pagodas and discover the history of this breathtaking archeological site. Next, head to a secluded village to meet with locals and learn about their way of life. Alternatively, visit two family compounds to learn about local crafts before exploring the morning market at Nyaung U. Residents of a nearby home welcome you in to taste some local delicacies. The third tour offers a guided or independent cycle through Old Bagan.

After a delicious lunch, return to the temples and uncover 3000 years of history with a fascinating tour. Visit a renowned local lacquerware workshop before the daylight fades and watch the sunset over temple-topped plains. Dinner is served under the stars tonight, followed by a classic marionette performance.

Day 4 Bagan
Today provides further opportunity to explore the temples and ruins of Bagan. Early risers can soar into sunrise with a hot air balloon ride above the plains before the morning tours begin.

Choose from a traditional horse and cart ride through the heart of Old Bagan. Alternatively join Dr Tun at our free health clinic, taking part in a range of community projects and learning about our charitable mission in Myanmar.

Lunch is served back on the ship before an intriguing afternoon tour of the Nagayon and Seinnyet pagodas. As the sun begins to set, head to a small temple on the riverbank for an exclusive candle-lighting ceremony. Or you could choose to travel through the countryside to the sleepy town of Salay for the day, stopping to visit the colourful market at Chauk en route. Lunch is served at a riverside restaurant before you return to Bagan late afternoon.
Enjoy a gourmet fusion of Asian and Western cuisine in the restaurant this evening.

Perhaps enjoy a gentle stroll to a small nearby temple surrounded by thriving farmland, and a visit to one of Bagan’s most celebrated pagodas. For a spot of pre-sailing serenity, join a meditation session in the peaceful depths of an ancient temple.

After the ship sets sail, a sumptuous lunch is served. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the pool soaking up the sleepy stillness of life along the river. Our crew lead cultural demonstrations on the Observation Deck and host a fascinating talk about Myanmar’s past, present and future. Don your traditional longyi and join us for a cocktail party on the Observation Deck this evening, followed by mouth-watering cuisine served in the restaurant.
