Cruise Description

18 Night Wonders of the World 2018 World Cruise Sector departing roundtrip from Sydney to Port Klang onboard Black Watch.

Meet Black Watch ‘down under’ and discover many of Australia’s greatest and most famous highlights, sailing north along the beautiful east coast from Sydney. Indigenous wildlife, fascinating culture and vibrant cities are yours to discover on this inspirational 18-night exotic cruise.

Starting your adventure in Sydney – one of the world’s most exciting, must-visit cities – you’ll have the chance to climb the iconic Harbour Bridge, take a tour of the magnificent Opera House or perhaps visit the Royal Botanical Gardens before setting sail to Brisbane. This charming city boasts an exquisite cityscape, with colonial sandstone structures stood alongside modern glass skyscrapers, and a great way to take in the sights is on a Brisbane River boat tour. Perhaps you’d prefer to encounter kangaroos, wombats and koala bears at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary; or tour to the famous beaches of the Gold Coast and soak-up the sunshine. Up next is Hamilton Island, one of the 74 stunning Whitsunday Islands. A trip to the picture-perfect Whitehaven Beach is perfect for whiling away a few hours in the sun; or for a simply unforgettable experience you can join a tour to snorkel the UNESCO-listed Great Barrier Reef, one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World.

Speaking of the Great Barrier Reef, Black Watch will then take you on an epic scenic cruise along the world’s most extensive coral reef ecosystem. The sight of 400 coral species, over 1,500 species of tropical fish and other breathtaking fauna and marine flora is sure to inspire you as you sail the crystalline blue waters. Your final destination ‘down under’ is Darwin, gateway to the Outback. Head out into the surrounding arid landscapes, or perhaps just stay in the city and wander the pretty streets – you won’t be disappointed whatever you choose to do. There’s even the chance to discover the history and culture of the Tiwi people on a visit to a modern Aboriginal community. An amazing Asian adventure will bring your holiday to a close, beginning with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step ashore at Komodo Island and explore the habitat of the world’s largest lizard. Then, before disembarking in Port Klang, you’ll have time to take in the highlights of Singapore, including Gardens by the Bay and Raffles
