Cruise Description

5 Night Cruise sailing from Paris roundtrip aboard Renoir.

CroisiEurope has a fleet of 27 Prestige category boats with cabins, which ply the most beautiful rivers in Europe. Spacious and light, they offer a welcoming and refined setting. Accommodation capacity varies from 100 to 180 passengers depending on the boat's design. At the cutting edge of technology, their facilities offer comfort and safety.

Carefully maintained and partially renovated each year, the CroisiEurope fleet is largely made up of recently built vessels, less than five years old, all with Veritas certification. The leading European river tour operator, our company owes its international reputation to its seriousness, its dynamism, its sense of innovation and its recognised value for money of long standing.

On board, you will find all of the amenities and comfort which guarantee the quality and seriousness of the CroisiEurope fleet.

DAY 1 PARIS
Cabins will be available from 6.00pm. We are introduced to the crew over a welcome drink in the lounge/bar. After dinner in the on-board restaurant, we have a traditional evening of entertainment with a Titi Parisen or “Parisian Street Urchin” theme. The ship sets sail during the night.

DAY 2 PARIS - LES ANDELYS - VERNON - HONFLEUR
We have buffet breakfast on board as we spend the morning cruising towards les Andelys. During our cruise, we have a magnificent view of the Roche Guyon. We arrive in les Andelys around 1.30pm and set off on our optional excursion to the Martainville castle, the sumptuous second home of a 15th century banker. Today the chateau houses the museum of norman art and traditions and has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1951. Here we find a unique collection of furniture and other artefacts from Upper Normandy which traces the evolution of styles from the 15th to the 19th century. There are displays relating to the history of textiles and costumes in Normandy, Norman tin and pewter ware, Rouen china and painted boxes, which are so authentically presented that we feel almost transported back to the past as if by time machine. Truly an exceptional journey back through time. We head by coach to Elbeuf where we return on board around 6.30pm. We have dinner on board as we cruise, heading towards Honfleur, where we arrive, tides permitting, during the night.

DAY 3 HONFLEUR
We have buffet breakfast on board. We spend the whole morning on an optional guided walking tour of Honfleur, the most picturesque of fishing ports, located at the mouth of the Seine where it flows into the English channel. After lunch on board, we have an optional excursion by coach to the “Côte d’Albâtre” (Alabaster Coast), the natural heritage site of the Pays de Caux (Caux country) and the Seine Estuary, including Etretat, Yport, Fécamp, which are all absolutely wonderful tourist spots that you will see in a completely different light after this cruise. ?Or join a full-day optional excursion (lunch included) to the Landing Beaches (available for advance bookings only and for a minimum of 30 people). One of the great turning points of the 20th century happened in France during the D-Day Landings of the Allied Forces in Normandy. Our tour takes us to all the main sites of the D-Day Landings in June 1944: the Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, Coleville sur Mer etc. We then visit Arromanches 360° to watch a film in a circular theatre of nine screens before returning to Honfleur via Gold Beach, Juno Beach and Sword Beach. The coach arrives back in Honfleur in the early evening. We return on board for dinner and moor for the night.

DAY 4 HONFLEUR? - DUCLAIR - ROUEN
We have buffet breakfast on board and arrive in Caudebec around 8.00am. This morning is spent on an optional guided trip to discover the abbeys trail, beginning with the abbey of Saint-Wandrille (outdoor). We continue to Jumièges where we find the ruins of one of the most beautiful abbeys in all of France, as well as the church of Saint Pierre. We return on board in Rouen around midday and have lunch on board. This afternoon, we have an optional guided tour of Rouen. We return on board and set sail again, heading back to Paris. Tonight we are treated to a gala dinner and an evening of music and entertainment on board. We continue our journey through the night.

DAY 5 ROUEN - PARIS
We have buffet breakfast on board as we spend the morning cruising towards Paris. We pass the towns of Poissy with its fine old Bridge where the banks of the Seine have been beautifully landscaped, Conflans Sainte Honorine and Chatou, a very important location in the history of impressionism, before we reach the outskirts of Paris. As we arrive, we cruise past the futuristic district of La Défense with its most impressive concrete and glass architecture. We arrive in the early afternoon and have an optional guided visit of Paris. Dinner on board this evening is followed by a cruise through “Paris by night”.

DAY 6 PARIS
After breakfast on board, we disembark around 9.00am. End of our journey.
