Cruise Description

6 Night Cruise sailing from Berlin to Stralsund aboard Mona Lisa.

Board the ship late afternoon (6:00pm). Time to settle comfortably in your cabins beforem eeting the crew during a welcome cocktail reception. Dinner will be served on board. Overnight stop.


Breakfast while cruising before reaching Henningsdorf from where the coach leaves on a tour (optional) of Berlin***, a city boasting several prestigious museums, as well as an intense intellectual and artistic life. Berlin attracts especially all those who are keen on cultural and historic events and interested in the geopolitical changes that have taken place in the 20th century. Once, the symbol of world division into 2 separate blocs, by virtue of its own particular position, today Berlin is a modern city with a dynamic economic and sparkling cultural life. Return to the ship in Lehnitz for lunch before sailing on to Eberswalde in the afternoon, through enchanting, unspoiled countryside home to an outstanding variety of flowers and wildlife. We reach our destination during the evening. Dinner will be served on board before mooring for the night.


Early morning start through the boat lift in Niederfinow, an amazing metallic structure which was built between 1927 and 1934. Breakfast while cruising before arriving in Oderberg around 9.00am. Join the excursion (optional) to the Cistercian monastery** in Chorin, one of the finest gothic buildings in Brandeburg, which lies on the edge of the Schorfheide moor lands, awarded Unesco”world biosphere reserve” status. Back to the ship in Stolpe for lunch. During the afternoon, take the opportunity to admire the exceptional landscapes that this cruise has to offer as we pass through the Oder valley, with it exceptional scenery. Dinner and an entertaining evening on board. before arriving in Szczecin. Overnight stop.


Breakfast on board before spending the morning touring Szczecin (optional), a town soaked in tra-dition and history. Its architectural diversity, a combination of ancient and modern buildings, makes the town a lively and attractive place to visit. Return to the ship for lunch before sailing on to Wolgast, thrue the impressive harbour, arriving there in the evening. Dinner on board. Overnight stop.


After breakfast we cruise on towards Peenemünde which is located on the island of Usedom*, in the Baltic sea and the Peeneestuary. Set off by coach on an excursion to the island (optional) which is one of the largest in Germany, with its white sand beaches, forests, peat lands and protected lakes. Its remarkable coastline is unspoiled. In the meantime, the ship sails on to Peenemunde where we will join it for lunch. Early afternoon, we sail on to Lauterbach from where an excursion (optional) is organised to the island of Rugen* , the biggest in Germany. This rugged yet enchanting island in the Baltic is characterised by its steep chalky cliffs. Admire the exceptional landscapes and variety of wild life and flowers. Dinner on board and overnight stop in Lauterbach.


Early morning start sailing on to Greifswald* and breakfast on board. Take the coach trip (optional) to visit the town which has kept all its original charm: with its Town Hall (1738), town houses, St Nicolas cathedral (100m high). Return to the ship around 11.00am. Cruise on to reach Stralsund* by 2.00pm. The afternoon will be spent visiting (optional) this medieval town which was a major centre during the Hanseatic League in the 14th and 15th centuries. Back to the ship late afternoon. Dinner and a gala evening on board. Overnight stop.
